Evacuation Planning, Training and Auditing
IRT’s Evacuation Training service provides comprehensive instruction to ensure team members can safely, confidently, and efficiently evacuate guests during both routine and emergency situations. The training combines classroom-based learning with hands-on practical exercises, allowing participants to understand evacuation procedures, decision-making criteria, and communication expectations, then apply them in realistic scenarios. Emphasis is placed on guest safety, team coordination, and compliance with applicable standards and operating procedures. This blended approach builds competence, confidence, and readiness, helping organizations minimize risk and respond effectively when evacuations are required.

Ensure your facility is prepared for any scenario with professionally developed and reviewed evacuation plans aligned with ASTM standards and industry best practices. This service provides a comprehensive approach to designing, evaluating, and enhancing evacuation procedures to protect guests, employees, and assets during ride stoppages, emergencies, or site-wide incidents.

Key elements of this service include:
- Development of clear, step-by-step evacuation procedures for each ride or attraction
- Integration of safety-critical decision points and communication protocols
- Review of staffing requirements and operator responsibilities during evacuations
- Identification of necessary equipment and access considerations
- Alignment with emergency action plans and overall park safety systems
- Practical recommendations to improve efficiency, clarity, and compliance
For existing plans, we provide a thorough review and gap analysis, offering actionable improvements to elevate both safety and compliance.
The result is a set of evacuation procedures that are not only compliant, but also practical, trainable, and designed to support confident, coordinated responses in real-world conditions.
